I was reading the Radioreference forum yesterday and noticed that Uniden Corporation has rolled out a couple of months ago a firmware fix for the US version BCD325P2 (and BCD996P2) that finally addresses the DMR Tier 3 Capacity Max tracking problem that has been a major issue since it went on sale. That is a fantastic result - however i cannot find any reference on a fix yet for the Australian version - the UBCD325P2.

Re: Uniden UBCD325P2 Tier 3 Firmware fix soon??
On another forum i posted it was suggested that it may never happen with the Australian version, because it has been discontinued, unlike the US Version. This will be unfortunate for us, given it has never worked properly as advertised (only tracked Tier 2 Capacity Plus and Connect Plus) and a previous attempt by Uniden to fix the firmware around 2018 was unsuccessful.

I ran through the software BC_VUP3 from the site below
https://info.uniden.com/twiki/bin/view/ ... wareUpdate
I gather the firmware also includes the previous "fixes"

Looks like you have the american 996p2 which makes the fix pretty simple.
As i have said elsewhere i am fairly sure that owners of the Aussie 325p2 wouldn't mind paying a small charge to get the problem fixed as it is annoying to be quite honest.

I have the UBCD325P2 .... I gather being it's listed as "discontinued" we may never see them release the firmware fix, which honestly is poor form on Uniden especially if it never worked from the get-gocartman wrote: Mon Nov 11, 2024 9:11 am Looks like you have the american 996p2 which makes the fix pretty simple.
